I have started placing orders for the birthday cake and some party favors. Am still waiting for a reply for the birthday cake and have already received a reply for one of the items for the party favor. FYI, there will be two types of party favor to cater to both adults and babies. The adults will receive 3 items and babies will receive 1.
Have bought materials for the invitation card yesterday. Yes, you got that right. The invites will be hand made. I will make them :)
I have finally pinned down the theme for the party. As of today, the theme is a cross between rainbow and polka dots, lol! I might just incorporate both themes together.
I'm trying to make the party inexpensive as possible. Money is always an issue and our pockets are not that deep. Suffice to say that the party, though inexpensive, ought to be a memorable one. After all, you're only 1 once in a lifetime. And although Adel won't be able to remember his first birthday party, I do not want to disappoint him! I'm sure he'd appreciate it when he looks at the pictures once he's old enough to understand.
Party food will be prepared by yours truly. This is a challenge :) I plan to cook all hubby's fave dishes and hopefully my sister would lend a helping hand. Come to think of it, can't wait to cook and prepare all those dishes!! Bring it on! Haha. I'm crazy like that ;p
The party is set in February 2011. I know, another 4 months. But I want everything to be perfect!
